About Algaflix

The beginning

EABA has been bringing the European algae community together for years through events, workshops and webinars. When the pandemic made physical events impossible in 2020, EABA quickly moved online. The first webinar took place in April 2020, and many more followed.

Creating a collection of knowledge

Over the next five years, 54 webinars and events were recorded, creating an incredible collection of knowledge from researchers, entrepreneurs and professionals from across the algae sector.

Making algae knowledge accessible

But much of this valuable content was difficult to find and easy to miss. So we decided to change that.

Algaflix was created to bring all this knowledge together in one place, and to make it accessible to everyone interested in algae.

From conference recordings to webinars, workshops and expert talks: discover the knowledge, ideas and people shaping the future of algae.

The people behind Algaflix

Algaflix is a product of EABA — created from the passion, knowledge and commitment of the people behind the European algae community.

The idea was initiated by Vitor Verdelho, General Manager of EABA, who saw the opportunity to bring the growing collection of recorded webinars, presentations and expert talks together on one dedicated platform.

Today, Algaflix is developed and managed by a dedicated team working closely with EABA, its members, speakers and the wider algae community.

How do I access my account?

To access your account, click Sign In at the top right of the page and enter your email address. You can request a sign-in link be sent to your email address to sign in without the need for your password or you can enter your password without requesting a sign-in link.

How do I access the catalog?

Once you sign into your account, navigate the Catalog section in the top menu to access all of our videos.

Can I download videos to save them to my device?

Our content is available for streaming only and cannot be downloaded directly to your device. However, you can access it anytime by signing into your account. If you're using our mobile app, you can save videos for offline playback, allowing you to watch your chosen videos later without an internet connection.
